In WP Ticket, each support ticket is assigned to at most one assignee. The assignee is a support agent who is responsible for the resolution of a ticket. Other support agents can be assigned to a ticket as contributors.
Although contributors are not responsible for the final resolution of a ticket, they can participate by providing input. For example, if the resolution of a support ticket is complex and needs multi department involvement, you can invite support agents specialized in certain aspects from other departments as contributors.
I purchased the Enterprise version of WP Ticket to support incoming email from clients (apparently also available as extension to free version), as my previous ticket plugin was no longer supporting incoming email communications on our WPEngine host. The WP Ticket developer diagnosed the problem (which several hours with WPEngine support techs had failed to do), and fixed it immediately in a revised version.
