WP Ticket allows you to collect, search, and display information unique to your business through custom fields. In addition, you can use custom fields to support processes external to WP Ticket.
WP Ticket supports the EMD Custom Field Builder Addon. The EMD Custom Field Builder Addon allows you not only to create custom fields and taxonomies (for predefined or ad-hoc grouping and categorization) but also to set visibility and user role access.
The EMD Custom Field Builder Addon supports 50+ field types. For example, you can create a "payment accepted" date field and "payment type" taxonomy to store the payment details of a customer before offering your support service. You can also make these fields visible to support agents only.
Once you created your custom fields, you can use them in the ticket or agent submission and search forms as well as display them on the details tab of every support ticket or agent page. Using WP Ticket premium editions, you can also use custom fields on departments (Pro + Ent), To-do-lists (Ent), and Canned Responses (Ent).
It is also easy to migrate your all your custom fields from one domain to another using the integrated Import/Export feature.
The EMD Custom Field Builder Addon can be purchased separately to be used in the starter edition and is included in the premium editions.
I purchased the Enterprise version of WP Ticket to support incoming email from clients (apparently also available as extension to free version), as my previous ticket plugin was no longer supporting incoming email communications on our WPEngine host. The WP Ticket developer diagnosed the problem (which several hours with WPEngine support techs had failed to do), and fixed it immediately in a revised version.
