Employee Directory allows you to set which fields can be seen or edited by employees.

Employee Directory Pro allows to set access permissions per field per user role, improving content security and data integrity.

In addition to user role based access, Employee Directory offers field based access. The field based access allows more granular control on who can see and edit certain information.

Using the field based access, administrators can specify the fields which can be viewed or edited by public and the directory employee/manager roles.

For example, you may display the "Hire Date" of an employee to only logged in users. In another example, you may want display the "direct reports" of an employee to the users having manager role in the WordPress dashboard only.
